Dark field. Electric impact.
A youth sports nonprofit that accidentally created the exact aesthetic of a scoreboard. The electric yellow that is the color of highlights on a dark field — you see it before you read it.
Near-black background creates scoreboard or stadium energy. Electric yellow (#FFF200) is the highest contrast accent possible on dark. Uniform 10px radius everywhere creates a controlled sporty consistency. Barlow at tight line-height creates display headings that read as impact not text.
Sports organization and youth athletics pages. Dark-mode product showcases. Esports and gaming adjacent brands. High-energy youth-facing platforms.
Your brand needs warmth or softness. You are building a content-heavy editorial product. Yellow-on-dark does not suit your brand.
Light finds its way through gold.
Near-black background (#1D1D1D) is not pure black — it has a subtle warmth that reads as stadium-dark rather than void-dark. Electric yellow accent (#FFF200) is the most saturated yellow available and the furthest from neutral on the dark canvas. The accentSoft is the dark-yellow for badge backgrounds on dark surfaces.
White text on near-black is standard for dark mode. The muted text (#AAAAAA) provides secondary hierarchy for dates, stats, and supporting information. The light-gray border creates subtle container definition — a thin bright line on a dark surface.
Everything else is the context.
Volt's electric yellow on near-black creates a hierarchy that operates before the user reads anything. The most important thing on the page is the thing with yellow on it.
Turn your ideas into polished interfaces without burning weeks on design decisions.
Paired with Switzer.
Barlow for everything. Clean, condensed, no-nonsense grotesque that reads as sporty at any weight. The heading at 1.0 line-height is the key: that tight line height creates display blocks where letters stack directly on each other, like a digital scoreboard readout. This is text optimized for impact, not for reading.
The 18px base and generous 1.67 body line-height provide comfortable reading for the informational content between the impactful headers. The contrast between tight header blocks and generous body rhythm creates the pacing of a sports broadcast: explosive moments, then the explanation.
The aesthetic is transferable.
Volt's uniform 10px radius and Barlow condensed headings create sports-display energy that applies to youth athletics, esports, fitness programs, and any dark-mode product where performance is the context.
Design tokens that give your product a point of view. Not just colors and fonts. Personality.
Volt's physical language.
Uniform 10px radius across regular, small, and XL sizes. This uniformity is the brand statement — the interface has one shape opinion and it applies it everywhere. The consistency reads as a system built by someone who made a decision and committed to it. In sports, that kind of commitment is recognizable.
Nothing is hidden at 375px.
Volt's maximum-contrast palette and tight Barlow headings compress to mobile as impact displays that work even on the smallest available screen.
Volt's invisible layer.
Dark depth shadows at higher opacity create appropriate spatial definition on dark backgrounds. The space divider style creates empty breathing room between sections rather than visible lines — the dark background is its own section separator. Linear easing with smooth speed creates the snappy, direct motion of a scoreboard update.
111 design decisions that all agree with each other. Made for you to use in an instant.

Shipwreck turns your git push into a production deploy in 11 seconds. Zero config, infinite scale, and an interface that doesn’t look like a spreadsheet.
Trusted by teams at
Link your GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket in two clicks. We scan your tech stack instantly.
Our high-speed runners build your app in isolated containers. No cold starts, just speed.
Your app is pushed to 300+ edge locations globally. Sub-10ms latency for every user.
A dashboard built for developers who hate dashboards. No fluff, just the metrics that matter for your application health.
Shipwreck is the first platform that actually stays out of my way. It feels like I’m writing code directly to the browser.
The speed is actually offensive. I push a commit and before I can switch tabs, the preview link is already in Slack.
We migrated 400 microservices in a weekend. Our dev team might actually like me now. Highly recommended.
Start for free, grow until you’re a unicorn.
Absolutely not. We run our own bare-metal orchestration layer built specifically for high-frequency deployments. While we leverage cloud partners for edge nodes, the core engine is pure Shipwreck engineering.
11-second deploys. Automatic rollbacks. Zero YAML. Start free, no credit card.
