Active Seed DNA · Terminal
Developer terminal made beautiful. Warm dark.
Developer tools that proved warm-dark and cold-dark are fundamentally different color philosophies. Inter at 400 weight at large scale where text feels pressed into the screen rather than projected onto it. The specific warmth of #121212 — a gray with a brown undertone that cold dev UIs never achieve. Pill CTA buttons as the singular signature move — one per section, maximum confidence.
Inter at 400 weight at large size creates editorial quality on dark. Warm-dark #121212 is fundamentally different from cold-dark tones. Pill CTA at 50px radius is the confidence signature. Near-white accent on near-black is maximum contrast minimum noise. Warm gray muted text has subtle red-brown undertone.
Developer tool marketing pages with product screenshots. Terminal emulator landing and download pages. AI coding assistant interfaces. Developer blog platforms with dark reading mode.
You need strong visual hierarchy from weight. Inter at 400 heading weight relies entirely on size for distinction. Your brand is colorful and expressive. The near-monochrome warm-dark palette rejects additional accent colors. Your interface has complex form layouts. The pill CTA at 50px radius creates visual inconsistency with standard inputs.
Light finds its way through accent.
#121212. Warm dark. The same base as Pulse but with completely different personality because the neutrals run warm. Surface (#1A1A1A) and hover (#222222) step up in tight increments. Border (#333333) provides subtle hairlines. The warmth lives in the gray values. Muted text (#868584) has a slight red-brown undertone. It's a tiny detail that shifts the entire atmosphere from clinical to comfortable.
The accent (#E3E2E0) is almost white. Just warm enough. On near-black, this near-white creates maximum contrast with minimum noise. The accent soft (#231F1E) is a deep warm brown for subtle background tints. The gradient from near-white to warm gray is the subtlest gradient in the catalog. This is a near-monochrome system that trusts its warmth to do the work.
That's the whole discovery.
Terminal turns a developer dashboard into a warm studio environment where long work sessions feel like choosing to be there, not enduring it.
Turn your ideas into polished interfaces without burning weeks on design decisions.
Paired with Geist Mono.
Inter at weight 400 for everything. Headings and body. That's the deliberate choice. Light weight at large scale on a dark background creates something editorial. The text feels pressed into the screen rather than projected onto it. At -0.025em letter-spacing with 1.1 heading line height, those light headings are calm and confident. No aggression. No desperation for attention.
The warmth comes from the color palette, not the typeface. Inter at 400 is completely neutral, which means the warm grays and near-white accent control the emotional temperature. At 16px base size with comfortable density, the body is compact but readable. JetBrains Mono for code is the natural extension. This is a seed built for people who spend half their screen time in a text editor.
Both at once.
Terminal's warm muted grays and near-white accent make documentation and code references feel like something written for you, not at you.
Terminal's physical language.
Twelve-pixel rounding on cards. Six on inputs and tags. The signature move is 24px on the extra-large panels and pill-shaped CTAs (50px radius implied by the radiusXl). The pill CTA communicates confidence and modernity. Don't use pill on every button. Only the hero CTA. Everything else stays at 12px. Solid 1px borders with subtle gray create quiet structure. Subtle dividers keep comfortable density organized. The contrast between standard cards and pill CTAs is intentional tension.
Commit from anywhere.
Terminal brings its warm developer atmosphere to mobile, making status checks and deploys feel considered rather than crammed.
Production-ready tokens for every project.
Terminal's invisible layer.
Substantial dark shadows. 4px at 24px spread in black at 40% opacity. Dark backgrounds need more shadow depth than light ones to create the same perceived lift. The large shadow drops to 25px at 60px spread. The 8px surface blur and 90% opacity add a frosted quality to elevated panels. Lift hover effects bring cards forward. Fast motion speed means interactions snap. Shadow focus style on interactive elements adds depth-based feedback. Subtle border steps on surfaces do more work than shadows on this palette. The warmth is atmospheric. You feel it in the muted text, in the near-white accent, in every neutral that chose warm instead of cold.
111 design decisions that all agree with each other. Made for you to use in an instant.

Shipwreck turns your git push into a production deploy in 11 seconds. Zero config, infinite scale, and an interface that doesn’t look like a spreadsheet.
Trusted by teams at
Link your GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket in two clicks. We scan your tech stack instantly.
Our high-speed runners build your app in isolated containers. No cold starts, just speed.
Your app is pushed to 300+ edge locations globally. Sub-10ms latency for every user.
A dashboard built for developers who hate dashboards. No fluff, just the metrics that matter for your application health.
Shipwreck is the first platform that actually stays out of my way. It feels like I’m writing code directly to the browser.
The speed is actually offensive. I push a commit and before I can switch tabs, the preview link is already in Slack.
We migrated 400 microservices in a weekend. Our dev team might actually like me now. Highly recommended.
Start for free, grow until you’re a unicorn.
Absolutely not. We run our own bare-metal orchestration layer built specifically for high-frequency deployments. While we leverage cloud partners for edge nodes, the core engine is pure Shipwreck engineering.
11-second deploys. Automatic rollbacks. Zero YAML. Start free, no credit card.
