Sunscreen for people who remember the 80s.
A sunscreen brand smart enough to make the packaging and the website both feel like a vacation postcard from 1983. The specific warm parchment that is not off-white but memory-of-summer.
Parchment background (#EBE6DC) is immediately evocative without being literal about retro. Slate surface (#778899) is a sea-glass blue that reads as coastal without being beach-kitsch. Cormorant Garamond body text brings an old magazine quality to modern e-commerce. Golden accent is sunshine not caution tape.
Retro-inspired consumer brand pages. Suncare and beauty lifestyle brands. Vintage-aesthetic DTC storefronts. Editorial lifestyle pages with nostalgia positioning.
You need a modern minimal or dark aesthetic. Your brand is youth-facing and trends-forward. The vintage warmth conflicts with your product category.
One gold to break the silence.
Warm parchment (#EBE6DC) has an almost tactile quality — you expect it to have texture when you run your fingers across it. It is the background color of something made with intention. The slate surface (#778899) is not blue and not gray but the specific mixture of both that you see in a calm coastal inlet on an overcast day.
Golden accent (#F1D27A) is summer. The specific warmth of a late-afternoon beach, when the light turns gold and everything looks slightly overexposed. Against the parchment it glows. The teal gradient references the coastal water of vacation photography — it appears as a decorative element, not a primary UI color.
The beach is the aesthetic, not the content.
Riviera's parchment canvas and Cormorant Garamond body text create the visual temperature of a magazine you are glad you kept, regardless of what the page says.
Turn your ideas into polished interfaces without burning weeks on design decisions.
Paired with Switzer.
Plus Jakarta Sans at light weight (400) for headings with slight negative letter-spacing. The negative tracking creates tightness and editorial authority. These headings do not shout — they present. Cormorant Garamond for body is a compressed, elegant serif that carries the weight of print tradition into a digital format.
The 1.125 type scale is very conservative — the size steps between heading levels are subtle. This is a system that values consistent texture over dramatic hierarchy. The 18px base is comfortable for body text. Heading line height at 1.5 is unusual for display text but creates a measured, unhurried feel.
Coastal without the kitsch.
The specific parchment-and-slate color combination in Riviera occupies a reference that is specific enough to feel intentional and broad enough to apply to almost any warm consumer brand.
Riviera's physical language.
Generous 26px radius on cards with a sharp 2px radius on small elements. The contrast between the two is dramatic and deliberate — the brand containers are soft and holiday-coded, but the functional inputs are precise and direct. The inset shadow creates an embossed quality — elements look pressed into the parchment rather than floating above it.
Parchment scales perfectly.
Riviera's warm tones and inset shadows create a tactile digital experience that retro-coded brands need to feel physical in a medium that is anything but.
Riviera's invisible layer.
Inset contrast shadow. Cards feel embedded in the warm canvas rather than elevated above it. The textured surface noise reinforces the parchment quality — slight grain suggests physical material. Relaxed transitions at smooth speed. A hover on Riviera feels like turning the page of a well-made magazine, not clicking a button.

Link your GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket in two clicks. We scan your tech stack instantly.
Our high-speed runners build your app in isolated containers. No cold starts, just speed.
Your app is pushed to 300+ edge locations globally. Sub-10ms latency for every user.
A dashboard built for developers who hate dashboards. No fluff, just the metrics that matter for your application health.
Shipwreck is the first platform that actually stays out of my way. It feels like I’m writing code directly to the browser.
The speed is actually offensive. I push a commit and before I can switch tabs, the preview link is already in Slack.
We migrated 400 microservices in a weekend. Our dev team might actually like me now. Highly recommended.

Absolutely not. We run our own bare-metal orchestration layer built specifically for high-frequency deployments. While we leverage cloud partners for edge nodes, the core engine is pure Shipwreck engineering.
