Urgent. Warm. Unmistakable.
The IRC choosing yellow so urgent it functions as a siren — not a brand flex, a safety signal. Space Grotesk at 700 with tight tracking for headlines that need to be read at distance.
IRC yellow #FFC72C as a full-section fill color creates visual urgency nothing else achieves. Uniform 50px radius on everything signals accessibility and approachability for stressed audiences. Space Grotesk bold weight with weight 300 body creates maximum typographic contrast. Direct visible shadows ground elements that must be clicked.
Humanitarian and nonprofit organizations. Emergency response and crisis communication. Advocacy and social impact campaigns. Global health and relief fundraising pages.
Your brand is premium or luxury. Yellow creates wrong connotations for your specific audience. The all-pill-shape system is too loud for your product.
One gold to break the silence.
The yellow is the palette. Everything else is functional. Off-white canvas for white sections. The yellow fills entire feature sections with a color so present it functions as visual volume. Black text on yellow is the highest-contrast combination available in the warm spectrum. The grey border creates the minimum necessary separation between structural elements without adding visual complexity.
The accentSoft is the yellow at reduced saturation for small badge and tag backgrounds. The surfaceHover is the yellow at slightly reduced brightness — the interactive response of a surface that contains this much light. The entire palette is organized around making the yellow work rather than making the system work with the yellow. The hierarchy is inverted from most brand systems.
Not a brand choice. A safety signal.
Refuge's IRC Yellow fills entire sections with a color so present it operates as visual volume. Space Grotesk bold headings and uniform pill shapes communicate urgency and welcome simultaneously.
Turn your ideas into polished interfaces without burning weeks on design decisions.
Paired with Space Grotesk.
Space Grotesk is the grotesque that reads urgently. Where neutral grotesques like Helvetica read as calm corporate authority, Space Grotesk has subtle quirks in its letterforms that give it a human quality at display sizes. At bold weight with tight letter-spacing, it creates headlines that compress space to maximize impact — the typographic equivalent of the headline on a crisis communication poster.
Body at weight 300 creates the maximum typographic contrast with the bold headings. The full range of Space Grotesk's weight axis, from 300 to 700, used across one font family, creates a voice that shifts register from urgent announcement to careful explanation within the same visual system. The size of the base (20px) prioritizes reading ease above visual density.
Accessibility at humanitarian scale.
Refuge's 50px uniform radius and maximum-contrast yellow sections maintain their full communicative power at tablet width for users across every device and context.
Design tokens that give your product a point of view. Not just colors and fonts. Personality.
Refuge's physical language.
Fifty pixels across every element is the accessibility-first shape decision. There is no functional reason to vary the radius — the consistency is the point. Every element in the system is equally approachable, equally rounded, equally free of sharp edges that might be misread in any cultural context. This is the shape system that prioritizes the universal reader over the sophisticated reader.
Designed for distance and difficulty.
Refuge's 20px base size, relaxed motion, and IRC Yellow sections translate to mobile as a humanitarian design system that serves its audience regardless of device quality or connection speed.
Refuge's invisible layer.
Relaxed motion at 400ms is slower than most modern interfaces. This is deliberate. Humanitarian contexts often involve users in high-stress situations on slow connections and older devices. Motion that happens too fast creates cognitive friction when the cognitive load is already high. The lift hover effect creates tactile response without requiring fine motor precision. The direct drop shadow on interactive elements makes their affordance visible at a distance, on a screen held at arm's length.
111 design decisions that all agree with each other. Made for you to use in an instant.

Shipwreck turns your git push into a production deploy in 11 seconds. Zero config, infinite scale, and an interface that doesn’t look like a spreadsheet.
Trusted by teams at
Link your GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket in two clicks. We scan your tech stack instantly.
Our high-speed runners build your app in isolated containers. No cold starts, just speed.
Your app is pushed to 300+ edge locations globally. Sub-10ms latency for every user.
A dashboard built for developers who hate dashboards. No fluff, just the metrics that matter for your application health.
Shipwreck is the first platform that actually stays out of my way. It feels like I’m writing code directly to the browser.
The speed is actually offensive. I push a commit and before I can switch tabs, the preview link is already in Slack.
We migrated 400 microservices in a weekend. Our dev team might actually like me now. Highly recommended.
Start for free, grow until you’re a unicorn.
Absolutely not. We run our own bare-metal orchestration layer built specifically for high-frequency deployments. While we leverage cloud partners for edge nodes, the core engine is pure Shipwreck engineering.
11-second deploys. Automatic rollbacks. Zero YAML. Start free, no credit card.
