Newsreader on red background is immediately recognized as a designed decision, not a default. Using one typeface for both heading and body creates a unified voice that feels authored. Red forces every other element to resolve against it — clears away design indecision. Pill shapes on a red canvas prevent visual aggression while keeping the boldness intact. Black surface cards on red create maximum editorial contrast with zero color complexity.

One typeface doing two jobs. Newsreader at low weight with wide letter-spacing is nearly architectural at heading scale — wide, unhurried, certain. At reading weight in the body it becomes present and clear. The discipline of using one font family across every typographic role creates unity that paired fonts rarely achieve.
