A museum that tracked its headings so wide they became architectural elements themselves. The 6.38px letter-spacing that turns Instrument Sans into a monumental statement.
Wide 0.11em heading letter-spacing creates gallery-label authority. Near-black border on white is more sophisticated than gray. Hyperlink blue is used with institutional restraint rather than brand boldness. Spacious 96px section padding gives every section room to exist.

One blue to break the silence.
Near-black (#1A1A1A) for both text and borders is a choice that avoids the harshness of pure black while maintaining full authority. On white, it reads as ink on paper — printed, considered, permanent. The hyperlink blue accent appears rarely, used for interactive elements only.
Light gray surface (#F8F8F8) for containers is so close to white that the differentiation is almost subconscious — you feel the hierarchy before you consciously see it. This is precision, not timidity.
Wide tracking turns type into architecture.
Plinth's 0.11em heading letter-spacing creates the digital equivalent of engraved signage — each character separated enough that the word becomes a visual object rather than just readable text.
Paired with Nunito.
Instrument Sans used for both headings and body creates a unified typographic surface, but the heading letter-spacing (0.11em) transforms it into a completely different register. Same font, different scale of experience. Body text at 0.38em tracking continues the spaced-out approach at a subtler level.
The heading line-height at 1.28 is generous — these headings are not stacked, they breathe. The spacious vertical rhythm echoes the horizontal spacing and creates a system where type never crowds itself.

Near-black borders on white surfaces give Plinth structural clarity without shadows. The system is readable on tablets the way a wall label is readable in a gallery — designed for pause, not scan.

Eight pixels on cards, two on buttons, one hundred on pills. The three-tier radius creates shape vocabulary: soft-edged containers, precise interactive elements, fully rounded tags. The near-black border at 1px on white provides structural definition without shadow weight.

Plinth's letter-spaced headings and near-black text remain fully legible and architecturally considered at mobile width — the proportions shift but the vocabulary holds.

Ninety-six pixels of air above and below each section is how a gallery feels when the curators got the ceiling height right. Motion at smooth pace with standard ease curves — nothing surprising.
