Banking infrastructure with minimal quiet trust
The layered inset shadow (rgba + inset white ring) as the visual language of a card that has been stamped, verified, approved. Near-black accent (#12161E) that speaks with the quietude of an institution that does not need to announce itself. The gradient fade from surface color creating the visual equivalent of a bank letterhead. JetBrains Mono as the typeface of the code beneath the ledger, infrastructure made visible.
Layered shadows with inner ring (rgba + inset white) create sophisticated card depth without heaviness. Near-black accent (#12161E) on white creates quiet institutional authority. Gradient fade from surface color creates elegant section transitions. Relaxed motion speed with ease easing creates deliberate trustworthy interactions. 3-column grid at 32px gap provides structured layouts for banking feature cards.
Banking-as-a-service platform landing pages with API documentation. Institutional treasury management dashboards. Financial infrastructure product pages with integration guides. Regulatory compliance platforms with status monitoring.
Your brand is fast-moving or energetic. The relaxed motion and quiet palette reads as stable infrastructure not exciting product. You need bold visual hierarchy. The dark accent blends with text color, offering no color pop for CTAs. Your product targets startups. The institutional layered shadows and muted palette reads as established bank not fintech startup.
One accent to break the silence.
White background. The near-black accent (#12161E) is a midnight navy so dark it reads as black in most contexts. But on hover, on focus, in gradients, that blue-black undertone emerges. It's more atmospheric than pure black. The muted text (#7C7F88) is a cool slate gray that reads as professional without being cold.
The gradient adds a subtle fade from a light blue-gray surface to transparent. It's used to create depth zones on the page. Sections emerge from and fade into white. The border color (#DADBDF) is whisper-light. Barely visible. The structural lines are suggested, not drawn. Pillar trusts its shadow system and surface colors to create hierarchy.
Foundations don't move.
Pillar's layered shadow system and midnight-navy accent create the institutional solidity that makes banking infrastructure feel like something carved from stone.
Turn your ideas into polished interfaces without burning weeks on design decisions.
Paired with Source Serif 4.
Inter at weight 600 for headings with tight letter-spacing (-1.56px). Semi-bold and compressed. The 1.414 type scale (the augmented fourth, a classic ratio) creates mathematically harmonious size steps. That precision is appropriate for banking infrastructure. Nothing arbitrary. Everything calculated.
Body text at regular weight with 1.38 line height is slightly tighter than comfortable. It creates density without sacrificing readability. At 16px base, the text is confident. The relaxed motion speed paired with tight typography creates an interesting tension: the type is dense but the interactions are unhurried. Read carefully. Move deliberately.
Dense but navigable.
Pillar's tight line height and semi-bold headings organize technical documentation so developers can get the information they need at the speed they need it.
Pillar's physical language.
12-pixel radius on main containers. 6-pixel on small elements. 18-pixel on larger containers. Three distinct tiers of rounding. That graduated scale is unusual and purposeful. Each level of rounding signals a different level of the interface hierarchy. Inputs are tight. Cards are moderate. Hero sections are generous. The shape alone tells you where you are.
The weight carries to mobile.
Pillar's graduated radius system and white-ring shadow depth survive on mobile, keeping the institutional authority intact in a form factor that works for developer reference.
Pillar's invisible layer.
Layered soft shadows with a white inner ring. Cards have a deep 16px shadow from a dark blue-tinted source, plus a subtle white border glow. The combination creates depth that feels institutional. Solid. The large shadow variant adds additional layering. The lift hover effect raises elements toward you, and the shadow deepens underneath. The relaxed motion speed makes these transitions feel considered, not reactive. Everything moves at the pace of money.
111 design decisions that all agree with each other. Made for you to use in an instant.

Shipwreck turns your git push into a production deploy in 11 seconds. Zero config, infinite scale, and an interface that doesn’t look like a spreadsheet.
Trusted by teams at
Link your GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket in two clicks. We scan your tech stack instantly.
Our high-speed runners build your app in isolated containers. No cold starts, just speed.
Your app is pushed to 300+ edge locations globally. Sub-10ms latency for every user.
A dashboard built for developers who hate dashboards. No fluff, just the metrics that matter for your application health.
Shipwreck is the first platform that actually stays out of my way. It feels like I’m writing code directly to the browser.
The speed is actually offensive. I push a commit and before I can switch tabs, the preview link is already in Slack.
We migrated 400 microservices in a weekend. Our dev team might actually like me now. Highly recommended.
Start for free, grow until you’re a unicorn.
Absolutely not. We run our own bare-metal orchestration layer built specifically for high-frequency deployments. While we leverage cloud partners for edge nodes, the core engine is pure Shipwreck engineering.
11-second deploys. Automatic rollbacks. Zero YAML. Start free, no credit card.
