Database infrastructure tools that committed fully to the monospace aesthetic as a design statement. JetBrains Mono used everywhere — headings, body, and code — as a single-font dogma of developer precision. #111111 near-black that refuses to be as stark as pure black but refuses warmth too. Terminal blue as the only accent in a world of gray, the single color that says something matters.
JetBrains Mono everywhere (heading, body, and code) creates total commitment to the developer terminal aesthetic. #0B6EC5 blue accent on #111111 dark background is the classic terminal highlight color. 8px radius keeps everything sharp and utilitarian. No softness, no pretense. Fast motion speed creates snappy, responsive interactions that match developer expectations. Darken hover is zero-decoration interaction. The interface responds without performing.

Your product has any non-developer users. Full monospace typography is unreadable for general audiences. You need marketing or landing pages. This system is purpose-built for tool interfaces, not conversion. Your interface includes long-form text content. JetBrains Mono body text at comfortable density creates eye strain on paragraphs.
Light finds its way through blue.
Near-black background (#111111). Not pure black. Just dark enough to feel infinite without the harshness. The surface (#1A1A1A) is barely distinguishable. Cards emerge from the background like panels on a dark console. You sense the boundary more than you see it.
The blue accent (#0B6EC5) is PlanetScale blue. Infrastructure blue. The kind that reads as "this process is running" or "this connection is active." It's not decorative. It's functional. Against the dark canvas, it provides exactly one point of visual information: "look here." The muted text at #999999 is the classic terminal gray. Information that's available but not demanding attention.

JetBrains Mono for everything. Headings at 700. Body at 400. One monospace font doing all the work. In most systems, monospace is reserved for code blocks. Neutron promotes it to the entire typographic hierarchy. The effect is total immersion in developer culture.
Bold JetBrains Mono headings have a density that feels like terminal commands written large. The 1.5 line height on both heading and body creates uniform spacing. Everything aligns to the same rhythm. Like a well-formatted config file. The 24px paragraph spacing keeps blocks of text from running together. Clear separation. Each section is its own module.

Neutron's reading layout has the discipline of the systems it documents, every line intentional, every hierarchy earned.
Neutron's physical language.
Eight-pixel radius. Functional. Not decorative. The radius exists to soften the containers just enough that they don't feel harsh on a dark background. Sharp corners on dark UIs can feel aggressive. This slight rounding says "precision tool, not weapon." Thin 1px borders barely visible against the dark surfaces. Structure without decoration.
Precision doesn't require size.
