Global editorial with modern serif authority
The visual authority of an international press credential, Inter 700 and electric blue saying the same thing in every language. Textured surface noise that adds the grain of a foreign newspaper passed across a hotel lobby. Lora body font as the civilizational default for serious reporting, the typeface that ships with credibility. The 5px uniform radius that makes every element feel like a dateline rather than a design choice.
Electric blue accent (#242EF7) creates authoritative energy against the white editorial canvas. Lora body font brings literary credibility to longform international reporting. 5px uniform radius creates a restrained geometric precision across all elements. Single-column grid focuses the reader on one content stream without distraction. Textured surface noise adds subtle depth that signals editorial craftsmanship.
Global journalism platforms covering international affairs. Nonprofit and NGO impact report landing pages. Policy research publication archives with category navigation. Foreign correspondent dispatch hubs with region-based content.
Your product needs multi-column dashboard layouts. The single-column grid is built for reading not data. Your brand is playful or consumer-facing. The serif body and electric blue accent read as serious institutional. You need compact navigation with dropdowns. The 40px section padding and 60px content padding creates sparse layouts.
One blue to break the silence.
Pure white background. Black text. The fundamentals of newsprint. But the accent (#242EF7) is where Meridian diverges from traditional news design. That blue is not corporate. It's electric. Almost purple-shifted. It's the color of something urgent. Against the black text and white background, it creates moments of visual energy that guide readers through complex stories.
The muted text at #555555 is dark enough to be readable but clearly secondary. Borders at the same value create structural lines that feel like the column rules of a broadsheet. The textured surface noise adds a subtle print-like grain to the reading surface.
This one is ready.
Meridian's electric blue and bold header weight create the visual authority of a publication that breaks important stories instead of aggregating other people's.
When you remove every option, something interesting happens. The solution becomes obvious.
Paired with Switzer.
Inter at 700 for headings. Full bold. This is journalism weight. Headlines hit with the force of a front-page banner. Normal letter-spacing keeps them open and readable at scale. The 1.1 heading line-height stacks multi-line headlines tight, creating dense, impactful blocks of text.
Lora for body text brings classical serif readability to the content. At 17.5px base with 1.35 line-height, articles feel like they're set by someone who understands long-form reading. Not too tight. Not too loose. The serif letterforms add micro-pauses that actually slow reading speed down slightly. For dense international reporting, that's a feature, not a bug.
Dense reporting deserves careful reading.
Meridian's Lora body text and tight leading create reading conditions where the weight of what's written is matched by the weight of how it reads.
Design tokens that give your product a point of view. Not just colors and fonts. Personality.
Meridian's physical language.
Five-pixel radius everywhere. Uniform, tight, editorial. Between the 4px of a pure print aesthetic and the 8px of modern web design. That specific value feels intentional. It's saying "we're digital, but our values are print." Every element gets the same treatment. Cards, buttons, inputs. All 5px. All equal. That consistency is editorial discipline.
The urgency scales.
Meridian's bold headlines and electric blue accent stay fully alive on mobile, giving your global coverage the visual urgency it deserves in 375 pixels.
Meridian's invisible layer.
No shadows. No depth effects. Pure flat design in service of content. Elements are defined by borders, color, and spacing alone. The darken hover effect is invisible and functional. The textured surface noise is the only atmospheric element, adding a paper-grain quality to every surface. The 1.0 active scale means nothing compresses on click. Interactions are clean. No spring. No bounce. Just response.
111 design decisions that all agree with each other. Made for you to use in an instant.

A dashboard built for developers who hate dashboards. No fluff, just the metrics that matter for your application health.
Shipwreck is the first platform that actually stays out of my way. It feels like I’m writing code directly to the browser.
The speed is actually offensive. I push a commit and before I can switch tabs, the preview link is already in Slack.
We migrated 400 microservices in a weekend. Our dev team might actually like me now. Highly recommended.

Absolutely not. We run our own bare-metal orchestration layer built specifically for high-frequency deployments. While we leverage cloud partners for edge nodes, the core engine is pure Shipwreck engineering.
