Active Seed DNA · Masthead
Typography is the argument.
A typography magazine that used pill-radius on every single element as a deliberate aesthetic commitment. Fraunces at weight 600 and 1.0 line-height — headings that stack like printed galleys.
Full 100px radius everywhere creates consistent pill-shape identity across all elements. Fraunces paired with DM Sans is the editorial display-plus-utility pairing. Warm peach accent (#FFAE82) is distinctive without being garish. Ambient glow shadows (not directional) give the whole design a magazine-print quality.
Typography and design publications. Creative editorial and magazine pages. Design studio and agency portfolios. Brand identity and visual strategy pages. Editorial-forward product marketing pages.
You need sharp or architectural aesthetic. Your product has many nested interactive elements where pill shapes create clipping issues. Your content is data-dense — the pill radius eats into usable space.
One orange to break the silence.
Near-white background (#FAFAFA) is barely distinguishable from white — the difference is felt rather than seen. Medium gray surface (#BBBBBB) creates the container distinction with more visible contrast than the usual light-gray approach. This is not a subtle surface — it reads.
Warm peach accent (#FFAE82) is the seed's most unexpected choice. It is not a brand color that fights for territory. It is the color of warmth — the specific tone of light that makes type look good on paper. It belongs here.
When the shape is the commitment.
Masthead's uniform 100px border-radius turns every container into a designed object. The pill is not a softening gesture — it is the primary shape decision from which everything else follows.
Paired with Space Grotesk.
Fraunces at weight 600 with 1.0 line-height stacks headings into dense, compressed display blocks. The font's quirky optical character — slightly irregular, historically inflected — gives it personality that weight alone does not produce. These are headings that have been to the type specimen shop and know what they are.
DM Sans at 400 is the utilitarian counterpart that makes Fraunces look even more considered by contrast. Clean, neutral, functional. The pairing creates a two-speed system where display moments are clearly distinguished from reading moments.
Two speeds. One argument.
The Fraunces-plus-DM-Sans pairing creates a clear typographic hierarchy that compresses cleanly to tablet width. Display headings at 1.0 line-height remain legible and impactful at every viewport.
Design tokens that give your product a point of view. Not just colors and fonts. Personality.
Masthead's physical language.
One hundred pixels everywhere. Every element in Masthead is a pill. The radius is not a choice that was made for individual components — it is a system-level decision that shapes the entire visual vocabulary. Cards are pills. Buttons are pills. Inputs are pills. Once you commit to full pill radius, every container becomes a designed object rather than a default rectangle.
The palette holds.
Masthead's warm accent and ambient shadows travel to mobile without loss. The pill containers shrink but maintain their rounded identity — even small UI elements remain visually deliberate.
Production-ready tokens for every project.
Masthead's invisible layer.
Ambient radial shadows rather than directional ground shadows. The shadow formula (0 0 70px rgba(0,0,0,0.35)) radiates equally from the element center, creating the visual impression of self-illumination rather than surface reflection. Elements appear to glow slightly. The lift hover effect raises and intensifies this ambient quality.
111 design decisions that all agree with each other. Made for you to use in an instant.

Shipwreck turns your git push into a production deploy in 11 seconds. Zero config, infinite scale, and an interface that doesn’t look like a spreadsheet.
Trusted by teams at
Link your GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket in two clicks. We scan your tech stack instantly.
Our high-speed runners build your app in isolated containers. No cold starts, just speed.
Your app is pushed to 300+ edge locations globally. Sub-10ms latency for every user.
A dashboard built for developers who hate dashboards. No fluff, just the metrics that matter for your application health.
Shipwreck is the first platform that actually stays out of my way. It feels like I’m writing code directly to the browser.
The speed is actually offensive. I push a commit and before I can switch tabs, the preview link is already in Slack.
We migrated 400 microservices in a weekend. Our dev team might actually like me now. Highly recommended.

Absolutely not. We run our own bare-metal orchestration layer built specifically for high-frequency deployments. While we leverage cloud partners for edge nodes, the core engine is pure Shipwreck engineering.
11-second deploys. Automatic rollbacks. Zero YAML. Start free, no credit card.
