Active Seed DNA · Marrow
Meat-free does not mean personality-free.
A food company that chose a near-black wine surface color to signal premium without the boring luxury palette. The specific pale pink that reads as botanical and clean rather than sweet or precious.
Dark wine surface (#260212) creates drama without pure black harshness. Pale pink accent is unexpected for a food brand and completely ownable. Light heading weights signal confidence not weakness. 40px paragraph spacing creates an editorial mission-statement feel.
Food tech and alternative protein brand pages. Sustainable consumer goods storefronts. Mission-driven DTC landing pages. Health and wellness product launches.
Your audience expects safe conventional food brand colors. You need dense information architecture. The dark-section + pale-pink combo conflicts with your identity.
One red to break the silence.
The wine-dark surface (#260212) is the seed's signature. Not pure black. Not dark navy. Deep wine-red that reads as moody and premium against white. When text and icons appear over it, the contrast is high and the atmosphere is rich. This is the specific dark that signals "we are serious about this product" without the coldness of charcoal or the tech-coded feeling of pure black.
Pale pink accent (#FFC7C6) is the tonal opposite — light, botanical, almost white. On white backgrounds it functions as a delicate call-to-action color. On dark surfaces it would barely be visible, which is why it stays on the light sections. The color system has a consciousness: the pink is for moments of approach, the dark surfaces are for moments of belief.
Put it there.
Marrow's wine-dark surfaces appear where the brand's values live and the clean white appears where the products live. Every section of the interface knows its job.
Turn your ideas into polished interfaces without burning weeks on design decisions.
Paired with Outfit.
Outfit at light heading weight (400) is a subversion. Most brands using dark dramatic surfaces go heavy on the type — bold headings, strong hierarchy. Marrow goes the opposite direction: Outfit at 400 on dark sections creates elegant, considered statements rather than declarations. The type says "we have thought about this" not "look at us."
Generous 40px paragraph spacing creates enormous breathing room between content blocks. This is an editorial system, not a shopping system. Content needs space to land before the next thought arrives. The 18px base and 1.4 line-height combine for comfortable long-form reading.
The palette has a logic.
The color split between accent and surface is deliberate — Marrow's pink is for moments of approach and the dark sections are for moments of conviction.
Marrow's physical language.
Soft organic radius (19px standard, 12px small, 100px pill). Everything is rounded but not extremely so — the curvature suggests natural forms rather than digital friendliness. The large pill shapes on CTA buttons have the curved quality of a seed pod or a leaf edge, reinforcing the botanical brand language without being literal.
The dark and light tell different stories.
Marrow's two-mode palette compresses to mobile with the dark sections functioning as full-bleed brand moments between the white product content.
Marrow's invisible layer.
Soft layered shadows at very low opacity give cards subtle definition without drama. The dark surface sections are visually heavy enough to create their own depth — no shadow needed there. Spring easing on enters gives the interface a slight bounce, the kind that feels organic and alive rather than mechanical.

Shipwreck turns your git push into a production deploy in 11 seconds. Zero config, infinite scale, and an interface that doesn’t look like a spreadsheet.

Link your GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket in two clicks. We scan your tech stack instantly.
Our high-speed runners build your app in isolated containers. No cold starts, just speed.
Your app is pushed to 300+ edge locations globally. Sub-10ms latency for every user.
A dashboard built for developers who hate dashboards. No fluff, just the metrics that matter for your application health.
Shipwreck is the first platform that actually stays out of my way. It feels like I’m writing code directly to the browser.
The speed is actually offensive. I push a commit and before I can switch tabs, the preview link is already in Slack.
We migrated 400 microservices in a weekend. Our dev team might actually like me now. Highly recommended.

Absolutely not. We run our own bare-metal orchestration layer built specifically for high-frequency deployments. While we leverage cloud partners for edge nodes, the core engine is pure Shipwreck engineering.
