Your product needs compact data-dense interfaces. The 30px shadow spread wastes visual real estate around every card. Your brand is minimal or modern. The dramatic shadows and red accent create a heavy editorial atmosphere. You need multi-column layouts. The 960px max-width with 24px section padding constrains horizontal space.
One red to break the silence.
White background with a barely-warm gray surface (#F7F7F7) at reduced opacity (0.7). That semi-transparency creates a reading surface that feels like frosted glass over white. The near-black text (#111111) and near-black borders (#1E1E1E) create a high-contrast reading environment with a slightly warm undertone.
The red accent (#CC0000) is pure editorial energy. Bold, unmissable, used sparingly. In a system this restrained, a single red element on a page becomes a gravitational center. It's the visual equivalent of a raised voice in a quiet room. The textured surface noise adds a paper-like grain that reinforces the literary atmosphere.

Inter at 400 for both headings and body. Invisible typography for a content-first system. The headings don't compete with the content. They organize it. At 16px base with 1.5 line-height, body text hits the sweet spot for sustained reading. Not too large (which feels like a children's book). Not too small (which creates fatigue).
The 1.2 heading line-height keeps titles compact and editorial. Multi-line headlines sit tight, like they're set in a broadsheet column. The entire typographic system says "read me" without saying "look at me."
The body type says sit down and stay.

They hover in a soft, slightly out-of-focus elevation. Like a page held slightly above the desk. Lift on hover adds reading-lamp warmth to interactions.
