Body text at 400 weight is standard Inter readability. Nothing fancy. Nothing distracting. The 1.5 line height is the universal comfortable default. Freshcut doesn't innovate in body text. It innovates in headlines and lets the content be plain, clean, readable. Subtle surface noise adds a slight grain to the background. Like looking at something printed on quality paper.

Layered soft shadows create subtle but real depth. Multiple shadow layers stacking to simulate natural light. Cards feel like they exist in physical space. The lift hover effect and bouncy easing (with spring overshoot) add playfulness to the precision. Hover a card and it lifts with a slight bounce. Click it and it compresses to 0.96. Fast enough to feel responsive. Springy enough to feel alive. The contrast between the minimal visual design and the animated interaction model is what makes Freshcut feel modern.
