Inter at 700 for headings. Bold, clean, no-nonsense. The tight heading line-height at 0.71 creates extremely compact headlines that almost stack on top of themselves. That compression is the retro signal. It feels like a poster from a European design exhibition. Dense. Graphic. Intentional.
Body text at 400 with standard 1.5 line-height provides the contrast. Reading paragraphs feel open and modern, while headlines feel compressed and archival. That tension between the tight header and the relaxed body is what gives Aperitif its vintage-meets-modern personality.
